Tomas Vainoris Release His First Column
Baseline Hoops, AP Baseline Hoops would like to announce the hiring of Tomas Vainoris as one of the writers for BLH. Tomas whom is well known around sim leagues will surely get his chance at running a team here in BLH but as of right now he has been added on the team as a special writer to the league.
Tomas whom was just hired yesturday has already completed one writing. His first writing is about the new Toronto Raptors General Manager and his trading of players.
This is a short column and surely they will get longer in due time but still a great write.

Preseason: Derrick Rose Truly A King
Rose is averaging 26.5 points per game in the preseason.
Associated Press He was the first pick in the draft and so far this preseason he is showing why he was and is the best player that came out of that draft with Michael Beasley, OJ Mayo and others.
His Sacramento Kings did not at all hesitate in taking Rose with the number one pick. He is their building block now and he has proven to them they made the right choice.

Preseason Is Underway!
Beasley made his BLH debut scoring 10 points in 38 minutes for the Denver Nuggets.
The preseason is here and their were a lot of games on tap today. I'm not sure if we are going to be putting any trades into the game at this point, but it may change. Also, there were numerous teams that do not have the minimum of 12 players. We just signed enough so we can run the day. Just make sure when the season comes around, you guys have enough players on your roster. Portland, on the other hand, you have 16 players on your roster. The max players is 15 so you got a decision to make bud. read more.

Training Camps Open!
We just finished up with the rookie options guys and thanks to those that sent stuff in. Now on to the next stage that being the training camps. I have the information in the Off-season thread in the forums so go and check that out.

FA Coming To A Close
The free agency period will wrap up tonight at 6 pm central time with day 20. There have been teams that picked up some key pieces to make a push for the championship. Also there has been some free agents who had a big pay day, that many general managers in BLH probably felt they didn't deserve such a contract.
